Rapyd Europe is seeking a skilled and proactive Accounting Representative to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for e.g. daily postings from subsystems to the accounting system, managing bank reconciliations, and supporting financial reporting and audit processes. Working alongside a team of payment experts, you will contribute to maintaining Rapyd’s leadership in the payments industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your accounting expertise within a global fintech environment. 

Key responsibilities:

• Daily posting from subsystems to the accounting system
• Reconciliations between accounting systems and subsystems
• Bank reconciliations for both Icelandic and foreign bank accounts
• Assisting the accounting team with monthly financial reporting and the annual audit processes
• Handling ad hoc projects in collaboration with the Head of Accounting

• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
• Previous experience in a bank back office role is an advantage
• Certification as a bookkeeper is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Nav ERP system preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-oriented approach
• Proficiency in both Icelandic and English required
